We are a DIPG/DMG Leadership Parnter
Only 4% of annual government funding is allocated to pediatric cancers, which must be distributed across 24 different types. This makes the role of foundations like ours essential in funding the research needed to find a cure.
Our primary contribution to research is through our partnership with the DIPG/DMG Collaborative—an alliance of foundations united in the mission to support DIPG research. To date, the Collaborative has contributed nearly $16 million to DIPG research, with experts believing that breakthroughs in DIPG could lead to major advancements in cancer treatment as a whole.
Additionally, the DIPG/DMG Collaborative established the DIPG Registry—a global initiative bringing together physicians and researchers from North America, Europe, and Australia to standardize and centralize clinical data and tumor samples from DIPG patients. This effort aims to drive innovative research and, ultimately, find a cure for DIPG.
Researchers recognize that tackling the most aggressive cancers, like DIPG, is key to making broader progress in the fight against cancer. That’s why they believe that discovering a cure for DIPG/DMG could open doors to significant advancements in cancer research across the board.
